About The Grooming Studio
Meet Sally
For over 28 years, dog grooming has been more than just a career, it’s been a lifelong passion.
My journey began while working on a livery yard, where one of my clients worked with animals in television and film. After helping on an Andrex television advert, I discovered the fascinating world of professional dog grooming and knew immediately it was what I wanted to do.
After qualifying with the London Academy of Grooming, I began grooming dogs from my parents’ garage. Nearly three decades later, The Grooming Studio continues to thrive, built on the same values I started with: kindness, quality and never stopping learning.
My Grooming Philosophy
I believe healthy skin creates healthy coats, and healthy coats create beautiful grooms.
Every dog deserves individual attention, patient handling and grooming that’s tailored specifically to them—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
I never rush appointments because every dog deserves the time they need to feel comfortable and relaxed.
Always Learning
The grooming industry is constantly evolving, and so am I.
Regular training and continued professional development allow me to refine my techniques, learn new styling methods and stay up to date with the latest knowledge surrounding coat care, skin health and dog welfare.
My qualifications include:
- Diploma in Grooming – London Academy of Grooming
- Pet First Aid
- Pet CPR
- First Aid at Work
- Member of the Pet Industry Federation
Life Outside The Studio
I’ve always had dogs in my life, and even outside work you’ll usually find me reading about canine behaviour, grooming or coat care.
At home I share life with my cat, Jade, and my dog, Edith, a much-loved Pug x Chihuahua.
