Why Your Cockapoo Needs Professional Grooming Every 4–6 Weeks

Cockapoos have quickly become one of the UK’s favourite family dogs. They’re affectionate, intelligent and full of personality, but they also have one of the highest-maintenance coats of any companion breed.

Many first-time owners are surprised to discover just how much grooming their Cockapoo needs. Unlike short-coated breeds that naturally shed much of their hair, a Cockapoo’s coat continues to grow. Without regular brushing and professional grooming, loose hair becomes trapped within the coat, creating knots that gradually tighten into mats.

These mats don’t just spoil the appearance of the coat—they can become uncomfortable, restrict movement and even pull on your dog’s skin every time they walk, run or lie down.
