What Happens During Your Dog’s First Groom?

Leaving your dog with a new groomer for the first time can feel daunting.

You naturally want to know they’ll be looked after, treated kindly and enjoy the experience.

At The Grooming Studio, we understand that trust has to be earned.

That’s why every first appointment starts with getting to know both you and your dog.

We’ll discuss your dog’s age, coat type, grooming history, any medical conditions and the style you’d like to achieve. We’ll also answer any questions you have before we begin.

Once your dog has had a chance to settle, we work through the grooming process calmly and methodically, allowing plenty of time for reassurance and breaks if needed.

Throughout the appointment we’ll assess the coat, skin, ears and nails, ensuring your dog receives the care they need while keeping you informed if we notice anything that may need monitoring.

By the time you collect your dog, our hope is that they’ve not only had a beautiful groom but have also enjoyed a positive experience that makes future visits something to look forward to.
